Detoxification

Detoxification

detoxWARNING:  Both the rate at which you detox and the order in which you detox your organ systems are very important. Significant issues may result from detoxifying organ systems in the wrong order, and from detoxifying too quickly. I do not recommend detoxification for anyone that is not under the care of a qualified health professional.

Detoxification is the second most important tool in our arsenal to bring you to vibrant health. In fact, it’s so important that I teach a six-week, one night per week, class on detoxification. I split the time approximately evenly between teaching you how to prevent additional toxins from entering your body, and step-by-step instructions on how to help your body to eliminate the toxins that are already there. We go through detoxification process organ system by organ system, step by step. If you follow the weekly homework, by the end of the six weeks you are well on your way to detoxifying your body. More importantly, you understand the steps for detoxifying your body, what to do after detoxifying, and how to avoid introducing new toxins into your body. Please understand the limitation of a classroom setting VS individual care. In the classroom I can certainly answer individual questions, and that is a goal of the class. But I can’t give specific individualized instructions for detoxifying based on your specific needs. I must teach to the “average” which works for most people, but may not be the most efficient way for you to detox. I also discourage those with significant health issues from doing a serious detox program without professional guidance.

I am very conservative in my detox recommendations. I find that when people try to rush through detoxifying, they tend to feel rundown and sick and they often give up before the detox is completed. I prefer a gentle detox that minimizes side-effects.

A big part of a detox program is rebuilding your microbiome after your detox is completed. A healthy microbiome is absolutely essential to a healthy body. It’s only in the last 5 years or so that we have realized just how important the microbiome is to your brain and your body.
